So a lot of good shit has happened. I have reached out to old contacts and have successfully laid an excellent foundation on which to place New DFS on. Below is a quick list of the major changes/fixes that have been accomplished 100%, and below that is another list of recommended changes/fixes to come. Once again, thanks go out to everyone who is bearing with me and helping in bringing this community back together, keep up the support and raise that population, your help has already been tangibly felt!
-Day/night cycle is back, Central time! VOTING HAS BEEN REMOVED
-Deadweight scripts are no longer being called by the server, meaning higher FPS and less lag.
-A fresh administration has been put in place. Only Mod's Cheese_216/S.Viktor and Admin Ds o Zero remain of the old staff (well...and me xD) They are trustworthy and no nonsense and dedicated to DFS's future beyond all else, things the previous administration severely lacked.
-Server wipe of all player-made buildings and a fresh set of keyless vehicles added for celebratory reasons! 100's of cars/planes/heli's are scattered around the map in all conditions for anyone to take.
-TS redesign for aesthetics.
-Dayz Launcher and Dayz Commander recognize and show DFS, just search "dreamfall" and that should be all you need to find us!
-Updated loading screen and server notifications. All info you see on the loading screen is currently active.
-Base decay/maintenance should be a thing again, on a 14 day cycle. I am actively monitoring a test site to see if this is active, but it should be as of the date of this post.
-Forum spam bots removed/actively being attacked on the forum. I think I found a solution, but will keep on top of new developments.
-RPG dealer is in the game at a new location!
Things recommended to change/fix:
-Add MV22 to aircraft dealers
-Add CH53 to aircraft dealers
-Add Combo Lock back to Stary traders
-A number of gun buy/sell location changes.
-Monitor player opinion of economy balance, be sure to give me your opinion on the state of the economy.
-Add 2-3 new static missions in untraveled map areas.
-Deployable bikes or vehicle traders on the shore? This is an ongoing discussion.
-Rename "got shrekt" death message
DFS is about to be under new management. DDmankiller will remain owner, however I will be taking over as the over-seer of all things DFS. There is not much left of this cesspool, that I completely understand, but I feel that I can change all that. My vision differs greatly from DDman's both is player relations and server design/attention and that is why I believe that my interest in reviving DFS will bare fruit. I cannot stress enough, however, that I will need everyone reading this threads help. I can make every possible positive change needed to DFS to be absolutely the best Epoch/Overpoch server this side of the nut house, but none of it will take flight without a community of active players. Below is a quick outline of the immediate changes I will make, and if after skimming over them you approve of where I am going with things, I ask that you help me in bringing players back to New DFS. Invite your Dayz friends, both Old DFS players and players that know nothing of our servers. Post our IP's on message boards, steam chats, help me help DFS back on its feet. "DFS is under new management"
-Day/night vote abolished, return to the cycle.
-Add back Verrukt mission, add other static missions DFS has never seen. (Pobeda Damn) etc.
-Balance ore vein drops to increase potential.
-Increase player attention and administration response time. The whole point of New DFS to me is in solving the major plagues faced by Old DFS, such as lack of interest or concern over player affairs.
-Revamp server rules to allow for more situational analysis. A giant problem faced by Old DFS was the requirements put in place to so much as hear out player complaints and accusations. I understand the Dayz is much more organic, and on top of increased attention to player concerns, rule-breaking and cheating activity will take on a more situational approach.
-Management overhaul, this is a bit redundant but myself and Ds Zero will be the sole administration until further notice. I will try to pry Hubbly's sweet ass out of retirement, but that's TBD.
Again, please help me in bringing DFS back to relevancy. A few ways you can approach past DFS members that are your friends is to let them know about the changes, many left DFS because of the administration, and that is another way you can sell the server. New management, motivated vision, improved player participation in server design. Let me know if there is anything else I am missing here, or how I can bring population back to the server. I plan to begin renovations in ~1 week because I currently have finals to wrap up.
I will be doing a teamspeak admin, member channel clean ups. if you previously had a paid channel, you can have it back by talking to me. I can help you get it back.
For admins, if you've lost your admin channels on teamspeak, I want you to reconsider if you really want it back and how important it is to you. if it is not so important and can live without one, that's great, keeping TS cleaner and more manageable that would be great. if you want to have yourself an admin channel, then that's fine awell but please consider the amount of sub-channels you really need for your teamspeak.

Each static AI mission treasure is going to have ONE of the following loot. Keep in-mind that the type of loot will be at random. The treasure loot mentioned below are going to drop either one of each item mentioned below or two of each item mentioned below. its just a random of either 1 / 2
this is the current changelog as for now, i've mentioned all that i have in mind, i might have missed a few things.
Again, many many minor changes have been done in the past 10 days. and I will mention all that i can remember. Also I will only be mentioning changes done of stuff that will affect the player. some minor server restarted stuff will not be mentioned.
- Attack cessnas and AN2s added to the aircraft traders.
- added 2 varients of the attack cessnas and AN2s
3 briefcase AN2 = 400 round M240 + 400 round PKT
4 briefcase cessna = 400 round M240 + 400 round PKT
- added many different types of guns to the traders ranging from AK 107/pso to Mk16s, Mk17s, M4A3 RCO GL etc etc are all added to their appropriate traders
- added these same gun varients to the random AI missions, that means you will have a chance to find these guns at the AI chest and AI personal themselves.
- adjusted and Fixed random AI missions to a more reasonable and appropriate reward for who completes them.
- Trading animation have been removed that means you will be able to do and finish your trades more quickly and effecitiantly without having to wait for your character's trading animation.
- price adjusted and fixed for many guns, vehicles, ammountion and such
- loading screen updated
- M107s and LRR varients have been added back to all AI missions.
- AI mission deadzone have been increased around stary to prevent missions spawning too close to stary
- DSHKM ammo added to random AI mission crates
